This DX site was created to let fellow dxer's know what we are up to while on DXpeditions in our former Walsoorden site (HOL) and the new site near Veurne, West Flanders, Belgium. We hope it inspires other dxers to try DXpeditions.

We travel to such locations to escape noise and to be able to put out long beverage antennas. Something we cannot do from home. DXpeditions take place several times a year. Usually in winter. Dxer's from Belgium and The Netherlands take the opportunity to dx from such rural dx location.

Are you interested in future dx trips? Get in touch with us. Send an email to us. We are always happy hearing from dxer's from other countries.

Just finalized the Perseus files research

Just finished researching the Perseus files from our latest DX-trip to Walsoorden. A number of audio files are available at http://www.box.net/s/r0freze88okqclgvy9tx.

We had wonderful catches of AIR Bhawanipatna 1206 kHz 21-10-2011 1600 utc and Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur 1341 kHz 21-10-2011 1600 utc.

It looks like those stations were never heard in Central Europe.  I can't find similar loggings in the Medium Wave Circle loggings, neither in the German/Austrian A-DX list or in Christoph Mayer's logs. He concentrated heavily on Asian reception the last few years.

The complete logbook is available at http://goo.gl/D2Cc5

Walsoorden DX-pedition : The movie

Yesterday evening, I played around a bit with movie maker.  The result can be seen here. Audio fragments that are included were made during this weekend. Although we erected a beverage antenna towards South America, the propagation gods were not with us. Only Tropical and SW gave us the so desired LA-loggings.

Beverage antenna at DX-Antwerps DX-pedition in Walsoorden

Dave Onley giving a course about beverage antennas. Well, let people do what they are good at. Dave wasn't there when we were erecting the bev. :-)

A few loggings from last night

The conditions were better then yesterday.

We had some nice catches from Latin America like R Alcaravan 5910; R Sta Cruz 6134.8, R Mosoj Chasi  3310, R Pio XII 5952.5, R Marumby 6080 too.

Also Conakry on 7125 kHz was really going strong  at 2235 and the Australians on 4835 and 5025 at 2130 UTC made Dave home sick.

Paul was also very busy... Take a look here here.
