This DX site was created to let fellow dxer's know what we are up to while on DXpeditions in our former Walsoorden site (HOL) and the new site near Veurne, West Flanders, Belgium. We hope it inspires other dxers to try DXpeditions.

We travel to such locations to escape noise and to be able to put out long beverage antennas. Something we cannot do from home. DXpeditions take place several times a year. Usually in winter. Dxer's from Belgium and The Netherlands take the opportunity to dx from such rural dx location.

Are you interested in future dx trips? Get in touch with us. Send an email to us. We are always happy hearing from dxer's from other countries.

Receiving a 1 KW station from Taiwan : Tien Sheng Guangbo Diantai, AM 1215 kHz.

As you have noticed all in all conditions were far from optimal during the last edition of KNL-14. North America delivered only standard logs and mostly at low to mediocre strength. The number of South Americans was way lower than before, but while digging in the archived files we found a real gem on the Asian antenna. Several Taiwanese songs (as per Shazam/Flairmax) were popping up a few times on 1215 kHz raising question marks. Could this really be the listed 1 KW Taiwan station? Exchanging thoughts with Chris Kadlec on RealDX where more than encouraging. His advice to listen at xx:57 for ID’s did the trick. Yes indeed that was the one ! Incredible DX especially under these circumstances.
